An algorithmic approach to obtain generalized 2D meander-patterns
Project Description: The research titled “Algorithmic Kerfing: Generalizing 2D Archimedean Meander Patterns” presents an algorithmic approach to generate a wide range of 2D meander patterns through a remeshing process. This method can be applied to any polygonal mesh, enabling the transformation of rigid planar surfaces into flexible ones with controllable stiffness, and facilitating innovative design in architecture and materials science.
