Design

The design work I lead and contribute to is rooted in exploring the intelligence of materials, geometry, behavior, and the principle of use-less. My approach prioritizes doing more with less—minimizing material use while maximizing performance, adaptability, and meaning. I believe design holds extraordinary value, especially in this critical moment when we face urgent environmental and social crises. As designers, we carry a profound responsibility.

Design is not merely about how something looks; it is a system of choices that deeply shapes our world. In fact, over 80% of a product’s environmental impact is determined during the design phase. This underscores the immense power—and responsibility—embedded in design decisions.

Much of my work is inspired by biologics, drawing from the intelligence of natural systems to develop solutions that are both sustainable and adaptive. Whether through responsive materials, minimal structural systems, or transformable forms, my aim is to cultivate a design practice that respects the planet’s limits while embracing its complexity.
